MUNCIE, Ind. – After a successful first weekend of the regular season, the Ball State field hockey team travels to Louisville for two weekend matchups.
The Cardinals will take on Brown University Friday, Sept. 2 at noon. They will then take on Richmond Saturday, Sept. 3, at 1:15 p.m.
The Cards are coming off a great opening weekend giving first year head coach Christy Longacre her first two wins of her career. Senior midfielder Mikayla Mooney scored in both contests, one being the game winner at Davidson. Jordan Dues got both wins in goal with 11 total saves.
This weekend's matchup will be the 2016 season opener for Brown. The Bears went 9-8 in the 2015 season.
Richmond started off its season last weekend finishing 1-1, losing to American University and beating Drexel. In 2015, Richmond with 12-9 and won the Atlantic 10 regular season title.
