#CardinalCamp16 Wraps Up Saturday Morning
August 20, 2016 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – Saturday was the final day of #CardinalCamp16 for the Ball State football team. The Cardinals put in a full practice in the morning and will now begin preparations for the season opener against Georgia State on Tuesday.
Head coach Mike Neu wrapped up Saturday's practice with several red zone scenarios followed by a full-field tempo segment. Sophomore quarterback Riley Neal and the first team offense looked sharp in the red zone situations. Neal produced three touchdowns in four chances, with all three scores ending up in the hands of senior wide receiver KeVonn Mabon.
In the tempo segment, the offense was able to move the ball down the field, but the defense did not break down and allow a touchdown. The practice ended with the first team defense forcing an overthrow from the first team offense on fourth down around the 30-yard line.
The Cardinals have the next two days off practice as classes begin at Ball State on Monday.
