#CardinalCamp16 Update: Welcome Students
August 19, 2016 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football team took time out of its preseason camp schedule Thursday morning to help new students move onto campus.
The offense and defense split into two shifts to greet incoming freshmen at the LaFollette Complex and help them move items into their rooms. Click on the photo gallery for pictures from move-in day.
Later in the afternoon, the Cardinals put on their pads for their 17th preseason practice. The defense ended the practice in style as newcomer John Swisher intercepted a tipped pass in a team session and returned the turnover all the way back for a touchdown.
SATURDAY SCRIMMAGE UPDATE: Saturday morning's scrimmage will mainly be a situational scrimmage. The coaching staff will take time to go through various in-game scenarios and special teams situations during the first hour of the scrimmage. There will be an approximate 30-play tempo segment towards the end of the scrimmage, but the scrimmage will not include full tackling.
