Men's Hoops to Play in MGM Grand Main Event

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State men's basketball team will play four games – two on the road and two in Las Vegas – as part of the 2016 MGM Grand Main Event.
Tournament organizers released the schedule Monday. The Cardinals will play Nov. 11 at Saint Louis and Nov. 18 at Alabama before heading to Las Vegas. There, the team will play Nov. 21 against Coppin State and Nov. 23 against Southern Utah at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Both games in Las Vegas will tip at 12:30 p.m. PT (3:30 p.m. ET). Times for the games at Saint Louis and Alabama have not yet been announced.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 3 p.m. ET and can be purchased at the MGM Grand box office, MGMGrand.com, AXS.com, MGMGrandMainEvent.com or by calling 888-9AXSTIX. Ball State is coming off its best season in more than a decade. The Cardinals went 21-14, shared the Mid-American Conference West Division championship and reached the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT).
The team posted the fourth-largest turnaround of any team in the country a season ago. Now entering their fourth season under head coach James Whitford, the Cardinals return five of their top six scorers from last year.
Ball State's complete non-conference schedule will be announced in the coming days.
