Alumni Festivities Scheduled For Football Road Games

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State Alumni Association is set to host a variety of pregame events for alumni and fans at away football games in 2016. The Cardinals are under the direction of first year head coach, Mike Neu, '94, and will play their season opener on the road at Georgia State Friday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.
The Alumni Association will host an Alumni Reception in Atlanta Thursday, Sept. 1 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at The Palm Restaurant located in the Westin Buckhead Atlanta. On game day there will be a Cardinal Tailgate beginning at 5 p.m. at Gate Landing inside the Georgia Dome. After the Georgia State game, the Cardinals continue their two-game road stretch when Ball State football travels to in-state rival Indiana Saturday, September 10 for a 4 p.m. kickoff. The Alumni Association will have a Cardinal Tailgate from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in a tent located across from Bart Kaufman field. This game will also have a bus trip option to and from Bloomington. Following the Indiana game, the Ball State football team returns to Scheumann Stadium for its home opener Saturday, Sept. 17 against Eastern Kentucky (Family Weekend). The Cardinals then head to Boca Raton, Fla. where they will play Florida Atlantic Saturday, September 24 at 6 p.m. The Alumni Association will hold a Cardinal Tailgate event beginning at 4 p.m. located in a tent on the west lawn of the stadium behind the tower and press box.
