Men?s Golf Set for Mason Rudolph Championship

The Ball State men's golf team faces a stern test this weekend against some of the nation's best teams at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship.
The 14-team field features seven ranked among the top 50 in the latest Golfweek rankings, including a trio of top-10 teams from the SEC -- Alabama (4), Vanderbilt (5) and Florida (7).
The action begins with 36 holes Saturday on the South Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The final round will be played Sunday. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Ball State is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate. Johnny Watts finished second at that tournament for his third top-10 result of the season.
Watts leads a Cardinals lineup this week that includes Michael VanDeventer, James Blackwell, Keegan McKinney and Timothy Wiseman.
The other top-50 teams in this weekend's event are SMU (33), UAB (43), Memphis (46) and Liberty (49). The field also features East Tennessee State, Rice, Middle Tennessee, Lamar, West Virginia and Samford.
