Six From Men's Swim & Dive Earn Academic All-Conference

  CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Ball State men's swimming and diving team had six participants honored by the Mid-American Conference as it announced the 2016 Academic All-MAC team on Friday afternoon.
  The 2016 team is made up of 69 student-athletes from the seven men's programs in the conference. Ball State's Tanner Barton (Junior, Health Science) was one of three student-athletes to register a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Others included Missouri State's Brandon Weissman (Junior, Accounting) and Southern Illinois' Cody Bailey (Sophomore, Biological Sciences).
  The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.Â
