The Ball State men's golf team will play its first stroke play event of the spring season this week at the Colleton River Collegiate.
The 54-hole event begins Monday with two rounds on the Dye Course at Colleton River Plantation Club in Bluffton, S.C.
Michigan State is the host school for this week's 13-team tournament, which also includes Bowling Green, College of Charleston, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Memphis, Miami University, North Texas, Queens University of Charlotte, Rutgers, Toledo and Xavier.
Ball State's lineup will feature Johnny Watts, Michael VanDeventer, James Blackwell, Timothy Wiseman and Keegan McKinney. Michael Makris and Tyler Pearson will compete as individuals.
Watts led the Cardinals with a perfect 3-0 record last month at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play in the team's first action of the spring.
The Colleton River Collegiate begins Monday at 8:30 a.m., and live scoring is available at birdiefire.com.
It's the first of back-to-back events for Ball State on spring break. The team will compete at the end of the week at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.
