Men?s Golf Set for Pinehurst Intercollegiate

The Ball State men's golf team will close out its spring break trip with the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, starting Friday.
The Cardinals are part of an 11-team field that also includes Austin Peay, Belmont, Boston College, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Marshall, Morehead State, Siena, Wisconsin Lutheran and Xavier.
The 54-hole event will be played over three days on Pinehurst's No. 8 course. Friday's opening round begins at 8:15 a.m., and live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Ball State will be competing at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate for the first time since it won the event during its NCAA finalist season of 2013.
It's a completely different lineup for the Cardinals three years later with Johnny Watts, Keegan McKinney, Tyler Pearson, James Blackwell and Michael VanDeventer. Timothy Wiseman and Michael Makris will compete as individuals.
The Cardinals are looking to improve upon a 10th-place finish earlier this week at the Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, S.C.
