Men's Tennis Loses 7-0 At No. 36 Notre Dame

Notre Dame, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to No. 36 Notre Dame Sunday evening at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.
The No. 1 duo of Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz were the first Cardinals to lose in doubles action against Notre Dame's Eddy Covalschi and Alex Lawson. The Irish then claimed the doubles point after Brendon Kempin and Drew Dawson pulled off a 6-1 win over Matt Helm and Patrick Downs on court three.
Notre Dame then took all six of the singles matches from Ball State in straight sets. Marko Guzina came close to winning his first set against Daniel Rayl on court four but dropped the set by a score of 7-5.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues on the road when it plays at Xavier on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Cincinnati, Ohio.
