Sophie Bader Named MAC Co-Swimmer of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Mid-American Conference announced this week's Swimmer of the Week late Thursday night and a Ball State Cardinal won the honor.
Freshman Sophie Bader took this week's co-swimmer of the week along with Eastern Michigan's Sierra Wagner.
Bader is currently tied for ninth in the conference in the 100 butterfly (56.87) and seventh in the conference in the 200 butterfly (2:05.25). She also leads the team in both of those events.
Last weekend, Bader had impressive performances against Bowling Green and Tiffin. Against Bowling Green, she took first in the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly. She also took second in the 200 IM.
In the meet against Tiffin, Bader was part of the first place finishes in the 400 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay. She also finished second in the 100 breaststroke and in the 200 breaststroke.
Bader and the rest of the women's swimming and diving team will be in action tonight at Illinois State at 6 p.m.
