MUNCIE, Ind.—The Ball State gymnastics team travels to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan Sunday, January 31, at 1 p.m. ET, to compete against the Central Michigan Chippewa's.
“I am looking forward to Sunday's meet against Central Michigan,” head coach Joanna Saleem said. “We have competed in a few meets now and are gaining the confidence we need to move into the 2nd third of our season. Several of our student-athletes are new to the line up and have now had some experience out on the competition floor.”
The Cardinals finished second in the battle against Mid American Conference competitor Eastern Michigan (195.050), and Illinois State (191.900), scoring a team total of 192.700, last week in Worthen Arena. The team managed a 48.200 on vault, 47.675 on bars, 48.050 on beam, and a 48.775 on floor.
“With four meets under our belt, they now understand what to expect during competitions,” Saleem stated. “We have also had some time to find our rhythm as a team. We are excited to have some fun and turn up the heat at Central.”
Following Sunday's competition the Cardinals will travel to Kalamazoo, MI to face Western Michigan, February 6, at 4 p.m. ET.
