Men's Tennis Closes Out Play At Purdue Fall Invite

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State men's team finished its final day of competition at the Purdue Fall Invitational Sunday afternoon.
Patrick Downs was crowned champion of the Flight E bracket after he defeated Reid Teatsorth of Toledo in three sets. Downs would drop the first set 6-3 to Teatsorth but would come back to take sets two and three (6-2, 6-4) to win the match.
In Flight C singles, Conner Andersen fell in the semifinal round to Toledo's Vince Anzalon, 6-4, 6-1.
The Ball State men's tennis team returns to fall action Oct. 15 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regionals in Knoxville, Tenn.
