MUNCIE, Ind. – This Wednesday, Ball State football head coach Pete Lembo, along with seniors Jacob Richard and Darnell Smith, will represent the Cardinals at this year's Mid-American Conference Football Media Day in Detroit.
Richard anchors an offensive line that returns all five starters from 2014. The senior is on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, which goes to the top center in collegiate football. Ball State's offensive line only allowed 13 sacks last year, which ranked seventh best nationally.
Smith was an All-MAC defensive lineman one year ago. He led the squad with four sacks as a junior and recorded at least three tackles in seven contests. He is one of three returnees on the defensive line for the Cardinals.
