MUNCIE, Ind. - The 2014-15 Ball State University women's tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team for the 16th time over the last 19 years.
Ball State was one of four schools to earn the ITA Academic honor out of eight Mid-American Conference women's tennis programs. Akron, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois were also recognized with the award.
As a team, the Cardinals combined for a 3.627 grade point average on the school's 4.0 scale. Five members of the squad received individual ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades, junior Courtney Earnest (3.753), freshman Oliva Large (3.785), junior Toni Ormond (3.911), senior Ashlyn Rang (3.894) and senior Courtney Wild (4.00 GPA). This is the fourth time for Wild to receive the honor and the third time for Earnest. It is the second time Ormond and Rang have been recognized with the award.
