June 11, 2015 | Baseball
Jarett Rindfleisch, a sophomore catcher on the Ball State baseball team, was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Mideast Region First Team.
“This is a great honor to be recognized among the best players in our region,” Ball State head baseball coach Rich Maloney said. “Jarett continues to progress into a prospect catcher.”
Rindfleisch batted .310 for the Cardinals and helped the team to the Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship Game in 2015. The 2014 MAC Freshman Player of the Year, led the team with 47 runs-batted-in and home runs with 10. Rindfleisch was also named to the All-MAC Second Team this season.
The team was voted on by members of the ABCA and Rindfleisch is now eligible for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors.
