Softball Adjusts Weekend Schedule Due To Weather

MUNCIE, Ind. - - With wet weather in the forecast for Sunday, the Ball State softball team and Northern Illinois will now play a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
The Cardinals and Huskies were originally schedule to play a single games Saturday (2 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.). Saturday's doubleheader versus Northern Illinois will also serve as the program's senior day with Loren Cihlar (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North), Jessica Craft (LaPorte, Ind./LaPorte) and Hanne Stuedemann (Mattawan, Mich./Mattawan) being honored over the course of the day.
The Ball State softball team opens its final Mid-American Conference homestand of the season Friday, when it hosts Western Michigan in another 1 p.m. twinbill. The Cardinals currently lead the MAC West Division with a 7-2 league mark, while WMU (6-2 MAC) is second and Northern Illinois (5-3 MAC) is third.
