Football's Coach Lustig Talks About Promotion
March 28, 2015 | Football
Ball State assistant coach Justin Lustig added the title of assistant head coach to his duties of special teams coordinator and running backs coach.
He visits with the Cardinals' Joel Godett at Spring Practice and talks about the change in duties and working with Ball State head football coach Pete Lembo.
"It ultimately means I am a guy Coach Lembo can go to and take some things off his plate," Lustig said. "There have been a few things already that I have been involved in that I was not as much before. Coach Lembo has always done a great job of getting his staff involved and this just kind of makes me his eyes when he cannot be there."
Lustig has been on the Cardinals staff since 2011 and is a graduate of Bucknell. He tutored Ball State running back Jahwan Edwards to the school's career rushing and touchdown records last season.
Ball State is in the midst of Spring Practice in preparations for the 2015 season opener Thursday, Sept. 3 at Scheumann Stadium vs. VMI.
