Football Set to Start Spring Practice March 24
March 11, 2015 | Football
Ball State football is set to open Spring Practice in preparation for the 2015 season Tuesday, March 24.
The Cardinals will practice 15 times with the culmination coming with the annual Spring Game Saturday, April 18, at 3 p.m. in Scheumann Stadium.
“We have had a productive off season in terms of physical development as well as the building of team chemistry,” Ball State head football coach Pete Lembo said. “Numerous returning players got a taste of significant game action last fall and now have an opportunity to build on those experiences. The coaching staff and I are looking forward to getting back out on the field with this group of young men. As always, the primary emphasis will be on the improving our fundamentals, but we also look forward to testing out some new wrinkles. It should be a highly competitive spring with considerable playing time up for grabs.”
Lembo, who enters his fifth season as Ball State's head coach, has guided the program to a 30-20 overall record, a 21-11 mark in the Mid-American Conference and a pair of bowl appearances. The 30 victories are the most by any Ball State head coach in the first four years of his coaching career in Muncie and Lembo's .600 win percentage is second best to start a career in program history.
Reserved season tickets are $111 and represent a savings of $51 off single-game pricing. General admission tickets are also available at $66 for adults and $39 for children, a 35 percent savings off single-game prices. All tickets can be purchased by calling 888-BSU-TICKET or by visiting the Worthen Arena Ticket Office.
Season ticket renewal information is scheduled to be mailed this week and will feature incentives exclusively for 2014 season ticket holders. Ticket prices for the 2015 season remain the same as 2014 prices and this year's home schedule opens the Thursday night prior to Labor Day and concludes the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. Ball State has four home games on Saturdays in October including Homecoming on Oct. 3 vs. Toledo and Family Weekend on Oct. 24 vs. Central Michigan.
