Men's Tennis Plays At Home Friday Against Xavier

The Ball State men's tennis team (2-5) returns to the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center Friday for a 2 p.m. match against Xavier (5-2). The Cardinals will play three doubles and six singles matches Friday.
Ball State has defeated Xavier three out of their last four meetings. The Cardinals fell 6-1 at Xavier last season but had previously won three in a row in 2012-13 (4-3), 2011-12 (5-2) and 2010-11 (5-2). Last weekend, Ball State suffered back-to-back losses to nationally ranked opponents, No. 60 Michigan State (7-0) and No. 16 Notre Dame (7-0) in non-conference action. Xavier has won two straight after posting 5-2 victories over Belmont and IUPUI (Feb. 7-8).
After Friday's match, the Ball State men's tennis team will play at Wright State (Feb. 22) before returning back home for a doubleheader Feb. 27 against Anderson and Taylor University.
