Men's Tennis Hosts 36th Annual Fall Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University men's tennis team is set to host the Ball State Fall Invitational, which will begin Friday and end Sunday. Competition will take place at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
This marks the 36th year Ball State has hosted the invitational. In addition to the Cardinals, other schools competing in the tournament include; Butler, Chicago State, Dayton, IPFW, IUPUI, Marquette and the University of Indianapolis.
The tournament includes two draws of 32 singles and two draws of 16 in doubles.
BSU tennis welcomes back former player and alumnus Steve Rodecap, who is the head coach at Marquette. Rodecap played at Ball State from 1992-96 while helping the Cardinals to a trio of Mid-American Conference Championship titles (1992-93, 1993-94, 1994-95). The Anderson, Ind., native is in his year 11th year at the helm of the Golden Eagles.
Following the Ball State Fall Invitational, the Cardinals compete at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals (Oct. 16-19) in Nashville, Tenn., before closing out fall play at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Just a reminder if inclement weather occurs, the tournament will move indoors to the Muncie Northwest YMCA.
