Jeremiah Davis III Gets Second Full Year Back
July 10, 2014 | Men's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State men's basketball player Jeremiah Davis III will officially have two full years to play for the Cardinals.
The University of Cincinnati transfer has been granted an additional year of eligibility by the American Athletic Conference for missing nearly the entire 2012-13 season because of injury.
Davis will be a fourth-year junior when he suits up for Ball State this season.
The NCAA recently granted him immediate eligibility for the start of the upcoming campaign. A fire displaced his family from its Muncie home last November, leading Davis to transfer from Cincinnati in the middle of the 2013-14 season.
Davis played locally at Muncie Central High School, where he was named The Star Press Athlete of the Year for boys' basketball in 2009-10. He then played one season for nationally ranked Huntington (W. Va.) Prep before beginning his college career at Cincinnati.
