Hague Named Academic All-MAC, Three Others Honored
May 28, 2013 | Women's Golf
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State's Jenna Hague has been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team for women's golf.
In addition, three of Hague's teammates -- Zoe Camus, Autumn Duke and Sarah Westaway -- each earned honorable mention recognition.
Hague, who recently completed her sophomore season, owns a 3.67 GPA as a business-marketing major. A first-team All-MAC selection, she posted six top-5 finishes this year, including two tournament titles, and recorded the second-best stroke average in Ball State's program history at 77.30.
Camus and Duke each finished their careers with the Cardinals this spring. Camus owns a 3.75 GPA in Ball State's sports psychology master's program, while Duke has a 3.59 GPA as an exercise science major. Westaway, who just completed her junior season, owns a 3.72 GPA as a health education major.
All four golfers competed in every event for Ball State this year, helping the Cardinals match the program record with four tournament victories.
The Academic All-MAC Team, which recognizes excellence is academics and athletics, is selected by a vote of the league's faculty athletic representatives. In order to be nominated, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
