Baseball's Scott Baker Earns MAC Weekly Award

For the fifth time this season, Ball State pitcher Scott Baker has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week.
Baker improved to 10-1 on the season with a 4-0 victory in the Cardinals game last Friday over Toledo. Baker pitched a complete game, three-hit shutout and struck out one, while walking only two in the game. Baker limited the Rockets, who entered the game with a MAC best .290 batting average, to a .100 mark.
Baker now owns a 1.69 earned-run average on the season with 78 strikeouts in 90.1 innings. He is slated to pitch Thursday in Ball State's game vs. Northern Illinois at 3 p.m. at Ball Diamond.
