Men's S&D Head to MAC Championship

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's swimming and diving team is headed to Carbondale, Ill., for the 2013 Men's Swimming and Diving Championship Mar 7-9 at J. Shea Natatorium on the campus of Southern Illinois University.
Last season the Cardinals finished in sixth place with 229 points. Michael Weber turned in the third-fastest 200 IM time in program history with a 1:51.36 in the consolation finals.
The 400 medley relay of Weber, Gavin McNeely, Chris Krupa and Casey Shroeder set the fastest time in school history with a 3:20.51 for fifth place.
Nicholas Stevens advanced to the 500 free consolation finals after turning in a 4:36.37 in the preliminaries. He would turn in a 4:37.20 in the finals. Stevens finished 12th in the 1650 free at 16:13.00 while Andrew Lamb clocked a 16:14.67 for 15th place.
Drew Tharp clocked a 50.38 in the 100 fly consolation finals and finished 13th in the 200 fly consolation finals with a 1:52.41. Michael Oaks came in at 1:40.83 in the 200 free consolation finals.
