Men's Tennis Hosts Double-Header Wednesday

First Serve: Ball State men's tennis will host a double-header Wednesday starting at 3 p.m. in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals take on two Indiana teams. Ball State will face IPFW in the first match and then will close the night with a match against Indiana Tech. Ball State enters the match with a 4-4 overall record, while IPFW is 3-6 overall and Indiana Tech owns a 2-1 mark.
Albertin Named Player of the Week (Feb. 13): Dalton Albertin went 2-0 at No. 1 singles in Ball State's most recent matches, earning victories over Brown and IUPUI. Albertin took down Michael Riechmann of Brown 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 10-8 Feb. 8 and then helped the Cardinals sweep in-state rival IUPUI Feb. 10 after beating Jason Jaruvang 7-5, 7-6 (7-3). Albertin also went 1-1 at the No. 1 doubles position with teammate Patrick Elliott.
Next Up: Ball State remains at home Saturday when it hosts two matches. Big Ten foe Michigan State comes to town for a 1 p.m. matchup and then the Cardinals take on Anderson University at 5:30 p.m.
