Women's Tennis Ends Fall Action At Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team closed out fall play at the University of Cincinnati Invitational Saturday in Cincinnati.
In singles action, Bethany Moore dropped the first set 2-6 before rebounding for the win after posting a 6-1 (8) score for the victory. Tori Ormond earned a straight set defeat over the Muskeeters Lizzie Oosterbaan, winning 6-3, 6-3.
Ball State went 3-0 in singles action over Cincinnati, with Courtney Wild defeating Emily Reuland, 6-2, 6-3. Courtney Earnest captured a 6-3, 7-5 win over Katie Brozovich and Ormond won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Moore and Sanders paired up to for the 8-4 doubles victory over the Muskeeters Alex Brinker and Sydney Liggins. The twosome of Toni Ormond and Earnest captured an 8-6 win over Cristina DiLorenzo and Danielle Patton.
The Ball State women's tennis team will begin its spring season when the Cardinals host Valparaiso Friday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
