Indoor T&F Hosts Ball State Quadrangular Friday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State indoor track & field team will host Miami, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan during the Ball State Quadrangular Friday starting at 5 p.m. from the Field Sports Building.
The four-team scored event will be based on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 scale, with only two participants from each school able to score in an event.
Ball State placed third during the 2011 season and second in its annual home meet each of the last two seasons, while Western Michigan has won the quadrangular the past two years.
Sophomore Rebecca Lomax (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) leads the Mid-American Conference in the high jump with a season-best effort of 5-08.00 from the Gladstine Invitational (Jan. 20-21).
Senior Janae Taylor (Richmond, Ind./Richmond) ranks ninth in the league in the 60m dash with her season-fast time of 7.69 versus Indiana Wesleyan (Jan. 28).
The Ball State Quad is the final meet of the season for the indoor track and field team before the MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Akron, Ohio, February 24-25.
