Women's S&D Hosts Coers Invitational

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's and women's swimming and diving team will host the ninth annual Doug Coers Invitational this Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Lewellen Aquatic Center. The women's team captured the title last season with 550 points.
The two-day event begins on Friday at 6 p.m., and there will be two sessions on Saturday, at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Diving will run concurrently with the swimming events on Friday and will take place at 1 p.m., on Saturday. The University of Findlay, Grand Valley State University and Bellarmine University will be among the teams competing.
The Cardinals posted individual wins in seven events at last season's meet including victories from Haley Richter (Roanoke, Ind./Columbia City) in the 200 IM and 100 fly, Bridgette Ruehl (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) in the 100 breast, Carlena Magley (Waterloo, Ind./DeKalb) in the 50 free and Mackenzie Imbro (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) in the 400 IM.
