Gymnastics Team at Central Michigan Saturday

Ball State's women's gymnastics team will compete at Central Michigan Saturday at 1 p.m. in its first Mid-American Conference action of the year.
The Cardinals are 1-1 on the season after posting a 191.625 to 191.275 win over Illinois State at home last week.
Ball State was led by the performance of Kayla Kmiecik, who was named the MAC Gymnast of the Week for her results vs. the Redbirds. Kmiecik, a senior, tied for first on the floor with a career high 9.800 plus tied for second on the bars with a 9.625 and managed a 9.625 on the beam.
Nicole Allen tied for first on the vault with a 9.75, while Angie Hosbach tied for second with Kmiecik on the bars with a 9.625.
In the final rotation of the meet, Kmiecik tied with teammate Aftyn Siemer for first on the floor, while Brooklyn Schumacher placed third with a 9.775 and Kristin Vignola was fourth with a 9.725.
