Katie Hawkins, a student assistant in the Ball State athletics media relations office, produces Passing the "Mic" for an inside look into Cardinals football.
This segment highlights Coach Justin Lustig, who tutors the Ball State running backs plus serves as special teams coordinator. Lustig came to Ball State after coaching the running backs and special teams at Louisiana Lafayette in 2009 and 2010. Prior to that, Lustig was an assistant at Eastern Illinois from 2006-08.
A graduate of Bucknell, Lustig was a team captain and four-year starter as a defensive back. He was a member of a senior class at Bucknell that was the most successful in school history, including a 10-1 record in 1997 and a Patriot League Championship in 1996.
