Gymnastics Teams Adds Three To Roster

Ball State gymnastics head coach Nadalie Walsh has announced the addition of three student-athletes to the Cardinals roster for the 2011-12 season.
Caroline Fiscus (Pittsburgh, Pa./Peters Township High School), Alexis Moore (Essexville, Mich./Garber High School) and Sam Santos (Bloomington, Ind./South High School) will compete for the Cardinals this fall.
Fiscus, who plans to major in nursing at Ball State, was valedictorian of her high school class and tallied a 4.4 grade-point average on the school's 4.0 scale. She competed for coaches Karen Clark and Scott Miller at Gym Dandy's Gymnastics for five years. Prior to that, Fiscus spent three years with Great Lakes Gymnastics and six years with Idaho Falls Gymnastics Training Center. She was a five-time Level 10 state qualifier, a four-time Level 10 regional qualifier and a one-time Level 10 national qualifier. Fiscus is the daughter of Greg and Suzanne Fiscus, and has two sisters -- Rebecca and Hannah.
Moore, who plans to major in marketing or public relations, managed a 3.78 cumulative GPA on her school's 4.0 scale and was a member of the National Honor Society, the Citizenship Honor Roll and the GPA Honor Roll. She competed for four years for Coach John Geddert at Twistars. Moore was the 2009 National Champion in the bars and in the floor exercise. She is the daughter of Bruce and Nanci Moore.
Santos, the daughter of John and Carla Santos, tallied a 3.182 GPA on the school's 4.0 scale and plans to major in radiography at Ball State. She competed for coaches Lesli Berry and Allie Kupper with Bloomington United Gymnastics for the last 12 years. Santos was the 2010 Chicago Style Beam Champion, placed fourth in the all-around at the 2010 Level 10 state competition and finished 10th in the beam at the same event. Santos was also a two-time Level 9 regional qualifier.
