Track & Field Set For Dave Rankin Invitational

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State outdoor track & field team returns to action Friday and Saturday, when it travels to West Lafayette, Ind., for the 2011 Dave Rankin Invitational hosted by Purdue.
The meet starts Friday at 3p.m. with the women's hammer throw, while the remainder of the action is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rankin Track and Field.
Freshman multi-event specialist Rebecca Lomax (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport H.S.) is the Cardinals' top student-athlete in the Mid-American Conference rankings, placing third in the high jump with her leap of 5-5 (1.65m) in the high jump at the Mike Poehlein Invitational.
Overall, Ball State's student-athletes are ranked in the top 20 in this week's MAC Rankings a total of 10 times.
