Women's Golf Places Fourth at Butler Invitational

Ball State's women's golf team finished fourth out of nine teams at the Butler Invitational at Highland Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind.
Ball State managed a team score of 300-311=611, while Butler won the event with a 295-296=591.
Meghan Perry and Katie Windlan tied for seventh overall with a pair of 150's. Perry managed a 72-78, while Windlan carded a 76-74.
Jenna Hague tied for 20th with a 77-78=155, Autumn Duke tied for 28th after managing a 75-83=158 and Sarah Westaway carded a pair of 81s to tie for 38th.
Ball State's Chantelle Hefer played as an individual and tied for seventh with a 76-74=150, while Jamie Caylor managed an 84-75=159 and Ashtyn Brown tallied an 83-89=172.
The Cardinals will compete at the Mid-American Conference Tournament Preview Monday and Tuesday at the Hawthorns Country Club in Fishers, Ind.
Joining the Cardinals at the 36-hole event were Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Illinois-Chicago, Indiana State, Valparaiso, Western Illinois, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
