Men's Tennis Resumes Play on Day Two of BSU Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University men's tennis team resumed action saturday at the 32nd annual Ball State Invitational.
In singles action Flight A, Dalton Albertin advanced to the final round after defeating Jimmy Roebker of Xavier, 6-4, 7-6 (5). Albertin will play the championship match Sunday morning against Xavier's Bobby Deye. Derek Carpenter won the men's open singles Cardinal consolation bracket after beating Joe Hammond of IUPUI 6-1, 6-1 in the final round. Austin Sansone will compete in the finals of the open singles white consolation Sunday morning against Robin Ravel of Marquette.
The Cardinals duo of Albertin and Zane Smith were victorious in flight A doubles action after posting a 9-8, 7-6(7) victory over Marquette's Thibault Troude and Otavio Perim. Albertin and Smith will play in the final round tomorrow.
The Ball State men's tennis team will conclude play at the 32nd annual Ball State Invitational Sunday at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center weather permitting.
