Brittany Kelly Named MAC Women's Golfer of the Week

Brittany Kelly, a junior on the Ball State University women's golf team, was named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week for her performance on the Cardinals spring break tournaments. The selection was announced Monday by the league office.
Kelly finished third with a 72-70-73=215 at the UNLV Invitational in Boulder City, Nev., and placed sixth with a 72-73-77=222 at the Duramed Rio Verde Invitational March 5-7.
At the UNLV event, Kelly's 70 was a season low and she was one of only three golfers in the 95-player field to finish the tournament under par. She helped the Cardinals to a tie for sixth in the 18-team event.
At the Rio Verde event, Kelly managed a sixth-place showing as an individual, while helping the Cardinals to a sixth-place team finish in the 18-team field.
Ball State will return to action March 22-23 at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga.
