Brittney Emmons Named MAC Gymnast of the Week

Brittney Emmons, a sophomore member of the Ball State gymnastics team, was named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week for her performance in the Cardinals dual meet at Illinois State last Friday.
Emmons won the all-around, the vault and the floor in Ball State's meet against the Redbirds. She helped the Cardinals to a season high team score of 193.925, which was the 21st best team score in school history.
Emmons tallied a career high 39.300 in the all-around plus won the vault with a 9.875, which tied her career high. She also posted a career high 9.750 on beam and a career best 9.800 on bars.
The Cardinals will host Bowling Green Sunday at 1 p.m. at Worthen Arena in the team's "Think Pink" meet. Admission to the event is free.
