Women?s Swimming & Diving Hosts Miami Saturday at 4 p.m.

MUNCIE, Ind. - - In its final tune-up before the 2010 Mid-American Conference Championships, the Ball State women's swimming & diving team hosts league foe Miami at 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Lewellen Aquatic Center. The meet will also serve as the team's senior day, with the Cardinals honoring its eight senior swimmers and senior manager.
Ball State enters the meet with a 10-6 (1-5 MAC) record after suffering a heartbreaking 156-144 setback to Ohio last Saturday. BSU scored six event victories on the day and was leading 134-130 going into the final two events, but the Bobcats rallied to win the final two races for the victory.
The RedHawks enter Saturday's meet with a 7-4 (4-2 MAC) record after suffering a 171-129 loss at Eastern Michigan last Saturday. One week earlier, Miami lost a 167.5-132.5 decision at Ohio.
Competing in their final collegiate home meet for the Cardinals are seniors: Mary Ehresman (Lafayette, Ind./Jefferson H.S.), Chelsea Giuffre (St. Joseph, Mich./St. Joseph H.S.), Kaitlin Jasmon (Springfield, Ill./Sacred Heart Griffin H.S.), Kelly Johnson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead H.S.), Emily Karwoski (Zionsville, Ind./North Central H.S.), Sarah Kehe (Westville, Ind./Chesterton H.S.), Lisa Maertin (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way-Central H.S.) and Allyson McGaha (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth H.S.).
Senior team manager Nicole Stein will also be honored in her final home meet.
