Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals dropped to 10-15 overall and 4-8 in the Mid-American Conference after losing 63-57 to Eastern Michigan last Saturday . . . McDonald led the Cardinals in scoring with 20 point including four three pointers . . . Maggert leads the team with 18.3 points per game and 10.9 rebounds . . . while Audrey McDonald is chipping a 11.7 points per contest . . . Ty'Ronda Benning is contributing 9.5 points per game.
Scouting Western Michigan: The Broncos fell to 7-18 overall and 2-10 in the MAC after losing to Toledo 65-41 last Saturday. . . Miame Giden leads WMU with 14.4 points per game while teammate Ebony Cleary is averaging 11.2 points per game.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her second season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 36-24, while her Mid-American Conference mark is 18-10 . . . Western Michigan's head coach Tasha McDowell is in her second season at the helm of the Broncos and owns a 14-41 ledger at WMU with a 5-23 league mark.
The Series: This is the 63rd meeting between Ball State and Western Michigan . . . The Broncos lead the all-time series record 32-30 . . . Ball State hosted Western Michigan for its Mid-American Conference opener back in January and defeated the Broncos 70-55. The last time BSU played at WMU the Cardinals came back to Muncie with a 70-67 victory in 2009. Both teams enter the game after having a week off of league play.
