WBB Set to Host St. Louis Thursday at 7 p.m.

Scouting Ball State: The Ball State University women's basketball team (4-7) returns to Worthen Arena after playing in the Caribbean Classic (Dec. 20-21). The Cardinals fell to UAB (61-56) and to Nevada Reno (74-70) in Mexico. Despite the losses senior forward Emily Maggert moved into fifth all-time on Ball State women's basketball all-time scoring list, Maggert averaged 18.0 points per game and 10.0 rebounds. Freshman guard Brandy Woody scored a career best 12 points.
Scouting St. Louis: The Billikens visit Worthen Arena for the first time since the 2004-05 season. St. Louis enters today's contest with a 6-7 record. St. Louis is coming off of a 55-53 win over Evansville. The Cardinals also have faced Evansville earlier this season winning that contest at home, 61-58. The Billikens are led by Lauren Woods who is averaging 10.3 points per game.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her third season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 44-33 (.571), while her Mid-American Conference mark is 21-11 . . . Shimmy Gray-Miller is in her sixth season at St. Louis . . . Gray-Miller overall record at St. Louis is 87-102.
The Series: Ball State is knotted 3-3 all-time against St. Louis with the Cardinals losing their last contest 79-69 in 2008-09 at Chaifetz Arena. The last time Ball State defeated St. Louis was by a score of 75-60 at Worthen Arena in 2004-05.
