MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State University women's tennis coach Christine Bader has announced the signing of Ashlyn Rang (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger H.S.) to a national letter of intent to join the Cardinals.
"I am thrilled to have Ashlyn join our program in the fall of 2011," said Bader. "She is not only a great tennis player, but a great person. She will definitely contribute to the success of our program. It is exciting to bring in a standout from the state of Indiana. Ball State was a great fit and I know her best tennis is yet to come."
Rang is currently a senior at Bishop Dwenger and has lettered in tennis the last three years. She owns a 66-4 overall record for her career. Rang ended her junior season with a 20-2 stint at No. 1 singles. She was a First Team selection for the Summit Athletic Conference (SAC) along with earning First Team All-Area, All-District and Second Team All-State honors as a junior. Rang has helped the Saints to three SAC championships and two sectional titles (2008, 2010).
