WBB Hosts Missouri Wednesday

Scouting Ball State: The Ball State women's basketball team improved its overall record to 3-2 Wednesday night after posting a 66-52 victory at Valparaiso. It was the Cardinals second straight win over an in-state rival. Senior forward Emily Maggert also grabbed her 25th double-double after scoring 19 points while pulling down 13 rebounds.
Scouting Missouri: Missouri enters tonight's game with an overall record of 2-3 after suffering a 61-46 loss to Georgia Tech Saturday. The Tigers have also taken losses to Eastern Illinois and Tennessee. Missouri has earned wins over Memphis and No. 12 Georgetown. RaeShara Brown leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding averaging 16.6 points per game and 8.4 rebounds.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her third season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 43-28, while her Mid-American Conference mark is 21-11 . . . Missouri's head coach is former Illinois State head coach Robin Pingeton . . . she is in her first season at Missouri . . . In seven years at the helm of Illinois State, Pingeton amassed a 144-81 (.640) record . . . Last time Pingeton was at Worthen Arena she lost to the Cardinals in 2009-10 when Ball State defeated Illinois State, 86-80.
The Series: Tonight's game is the second meeting all-time between Ball State and Missouri. The Tigers lead the all-time series record 2-0. This is Missouri's first visit to Worthen Arena. The last time these two teams met was last season when the Cardinals lost 66-55 at Mizzou Arena despite having a 27-26 halftime edge over the Tigers that game.
