Women's Tennis Competes In Queen City Invite

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Ball State University women's tennis team competed at the Queen City Invitational Friday hosted by the University of Cincinnati.
In singles action Sarah Hebble took a 6-2, 5-7, 6-4, match from Masha Peresetsky of Wright State in the A Flight. Kyle Johnson advanced to the semifinals after defeating Amy Nini from WSU and Sariyya Ismail of Cincinnati in straight sets in Flight B. Also in Flight B Kristel Sanders won in three sets but lost in the semifinals. Georgina Thomson made it to the semifinals with a victory over Natalie Handler of Xavier and Taylor Hines of Wright State in Flight C action. Dena Boulieris and Paola Rodriguez will both compete in the semifinal round after winning their matches this afternoon.
The Cardinals had two teams that received byes in doubles their matches will be played Saturday.
