CVC Football Kickoff Dinner Aug. 20

Ball State's Cardinal Varsity Club will host its annual football kickoff dinner Thursday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. This year's dinner is presented by the Ball State Federal Credit Union with food provided by Outback Steakhouse and drinks provided by Pepsi.
The Cardinals open the 2009 season Thurs., Sept. 3, at Scheumann Stadium. Ball State will host North Texas in a 7:30 p.m. season opener, which will be televised live on ESPNU. The Cardinals will remain home for a Sat., Sept. 12, game vs. New Hampshire, which will begin at 7 p.m.
Ball State managed a 12-0 regular season in 2008, plus won the Mid-American Conference West Division Championship and played in a second straight bowl game.
