Saturday?s Baseball Game Against Toledo Cancelled

MUNCIE, Ind. ? Satuday's Ball State baseball game against Toledo has been cancelled due to rain and wet field conditions after two innings at Ball Diamond. The Mid-American Conference West Division champion Cardinals head into the 2009 Mid-American Conference Tournament in Chillicothe, Ohio, as the No. 2 seed. Ball State will open tournament play Wednesday at 4 p.m. at VA Memorial Stadium. The Cardinals will face No. 7 seed Eastern Michigan in the third game of the opening day.

Prior to the start of Saturday's game, the Cardinals recognized the 2009 senior class in student manager Phil Colilla, left-hander Josh Vollmer (Westfield, Ind./Butler), left-hander Eric Van Matre (Selma, Ind./Purdue), right-hander Brenden Stines (Granger, Ind./Penn), right-hander Adam Quinn (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point), second baseman Nate Fields (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) and left-handed captain Tom Mueller (Westfield, Ind./Westfield).
