Former Baseball Star Bullington Called Up By Toronto
April 25, 2009 | Baseball
Bullington joined the Blue Jays' organization in the offseason and will be making his first regular season appearance for Toronto. He had posted a 1-1 record with a 1.86 ERA in four games for Las Vegas this spring as he struck out 10 batters while walking only one in 9.2 innings.
An Indianapolis native, Bullington wrapped up his Ball State career in 2002 as the Cardinals' all-time leader in wins and strikeouts. That year, the Pittsburgh Pirates selected the right-hander with the first pick in the Major League Baseball draft, making him the first Cardinal ever to be taken No. 1 overall.
