Getting To Know BSU's Christie Waters

As a freshman for the Cardinals last season, Christie Waters ranked fifth on the team with double-figure digs in 10 matches. The 5-6 defensive specialist recorded a career-high 19 digs in the team's near upset of Bowling Green (Oct. 24), while finishing the season with double-digit digs in six of BSU's final 10 matches .
A graduate of Burris Laboratory School, Waters earned four letters in volleyball for BSU alum Steve Shondell. During her prep career, Waters helped guide the Owls to four Indiana High School Athletics Association Class 2A State Championships. Her teams compiled a 148-12 record during that span, including a 28-0 ledger in conference play. During her freshman season, the Owls posted a perfect 40-0 record.
Waters also played club volleyball for the Munciana Volleyball Club where her 14's club team won a national championship. Her 13's team was a national runner-up, while here 12's squad placed fifth in the national tournament.

Neat freak or cluttered mess? Little bit of both
What is your pet peeve? People who don't use the turn lane, and people who walk slow in front of me.
Best off the court moment with your teammates? Everyday...
Three things you have to take with you on road trips? Pillow, blanket and ipod
What do you want to do after college? Move to California and work for E!
Hobbies? Volleyball, hanging out with friends and sleep.
Favorite food/junk food? Cheese Pizza/Ice Cream, yum
One person you would like to meet living or dead? Marilyn Monroe
Best thing about Muncie? Ball State University
One movie you must have in your collection? The Goonies
Best thing you can find in the Ball State locker room? T.V.
One thing you would not want to be caught dead wearing? Andrea Felton's Corduroy Pants!
Favorite outfit to wear? Leggings & Hoodie, so comfy
Dream date? Somewhere tropical and warm, on the beach with David Beckham
Favorite stuffed animal? Bear named Emily, after Emily Sallee, she played at BSU and was #5 :)
Best volleyball road trip? The way home from Central Michigan last year (people were rapping).
Dishes every night or after they pile up? Never do dishes :)
