Men's Golf Finishes 16th at Pinehurst Intercollegiate

Ball State's men's golf team finished in 16th place out of 20 teams at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate on Pinehurst Course No. 8.
The Cardinals tallied a 305-296-303=904 to finish ahead of Toledo from the Mid-American Conference, but behind Miami University from the MAC. Toledo was 18th with a 911 team score, while the RedHawks tied for ninth.
Senior Brian Maurer was Ball State's top individual with a 77-71-75, which tied him for 31st. Junior Ross Cosat tied for 40th after carding a 78-71-75, while Andrew Rhodes tied for 66th with a 75-77-77. Eric Steger tallied a 75-79-78, and Eric Skillman managed an 84-77-76.
Joining Ball State at Pinehurst were Belmont, Eastern Kentucky, Marquette, Marshall, Miami University, Michigan State, Penn State, Radford, St. John's, Michigan, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Southern Mississippi, Toledo, Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia Tech and Wichita State.
