Women's Tennis Claims 5-2 Victory Over Wisconsin-Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Ball State University women's tennis team tallied a 5-2 win at Milwaukee-Wisconsin Friday night. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 4-5 on the season.

Ball State swept the doubles point with an 8-6 victory at No. 1. The Cardinals continued their winning ways with an 8-1 win at No. 2 and closed out doubles play with an 8-5 defeat at No. 3.

At No. 1 singles freshman Sarah Hebble won in two sets 6-2, 6-4 over Kelly Drvaric. Freshman Kylee Johnson posted a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 3 over Ashley Schoneman. Freshman Hanna Oman and Sophomore Georgina Thomson rounded out the wins for BSU to earn the win over Milwaukee-Wisconsin.

The Ball State University women's tennis team closes play in Wisconsin Sunday morning at Wisconsin-Green Bay with the match beginning at 11 am (EST).
