MUNCIE, Ind. - Senior guard Kiley Jarrett (Bloomington, Ind./North) of the Ball State University women's basketball team has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office today.
Jarrett with a career-high performance 21 points led the Cardinals to a 71-67 victory over Central Michigan Sunday at Rose Arena. She also played 39.0 minutes and shot 7-of-12 from the field which included five three-pointers. Jarrett had scored 17 points in the first half alone. She also made a defensive play with just seconds remaining for a fast break layup to put Ball State up 70-67 with 22 seconds on the clock. Jarrett was perfect from charity stripe and had two steals. She helped the Cardinals improve to 18-8 overall and a 10-2 MAC record.
The Ball State University women's basketball team travels to Eastern Michigan Tuesday for a 7 p.m. tipoff in the Convocation Center.
